Many happy returns on your daughter's birthday. She is a woman now. However, as parents we always see the little girl in our daughters and the little boy in our sons no matter how old they get! Thank you for the collection of the lovely young ladies.

In Australia high school graduation is not as big an occasion for girls as the Debutante party when they turn 16. Some girls dress up as if its a wedding and some families spend quite a bit for these dresses can get expensive. The other no so good coming of age celebrations for both boys and girls in Australia is when they turn 18 and can legally drink alcohol. You can imagine what these are like!

In North America certainly the high school graduation and the "Prom" dance and dinner is a big occasion for dressing up.
