Meditation

I sink slowly
past thoughts
of today
and tomorrow,
slowly, very slowly down
towards my belly,
my home.

My breathing becomes slow
and contented.
My body dissolves
through the floor.

I gaze within:
a breathing game,
and slowly become
a bird,
an airy flame.

No God and no man,
no I , no you -
only a smile,
a being,
eternally new.

(with thanks to Hawkwood for correcting my English)

Charles

Beautiful!

I like the entire poem very much and especially the last five lines - says it all with such purity and simplicity. I can meditate on that.

Thank you!

Namaste
